Ahhh Ocracoke! My first trip there was in the early 60's with my parents. I was in Blackbeards hangout how cool is that! In the 70's I made a trip down there and had Mr. Austin a local fisherman take me over to Portsmouth Island where I camped out on the beach for a week. At that time two elderly ladies lived there and Mr Austin would bring them mail and groceries. More trips were made to Ocracoke and also my honeymoon trip and just recently a second honeymoon trip. To me its a peaceful and healing place of great natural beauty. Hope you enjoy the photo trip.
